Afasic’s Summer Transition Courses are being held across the country, providing essential support for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) as they make the often-challenging move from primary to secondary school. Our tailored program not only helps students gain confidence but also equips families with valuable resources and strategies to support their children during this critical transition.
Led by experienced Speech and Language Therapists, the courses feature engaging, interactive sessions where students learn how to read timetables, pack their school bags, make friends, and ask for help whilst having lots of fun. These activities are designed to boost self-esteem and ease anxieties about starting secondary school.
