Primary to Secondary School Transition Courses
Is your child moving from Primary School to Secondary School and do you feel they would benefit from additional help with managing this transition?
This week-long course takes place in a School (usually a Secondary School), during the summer holidays. We try to arrange as many courses as possible, in many schools throughout the UK, with the help of school staff, speech and language therapists and volunteers.
If you are a parent/carer and would like your child to attend a course locally, please let your school know about this course and also contact our Transition Course Coordinator (link below).
In 2025 we successfully piloted a National Online Course too, for children unable to attend a course in their local area. If you are a parent or carer of a child currently in year 6, with speech, language and communication needs, and would like to register your interest in the online course for Summer 2026, please see here Expression Of Interest – National, Online School Transition Course –
Are you a SLT, or teacher who would like to help deliver a course to children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs?
We are always looking for help to deliver these essential courses. If you are a SLT, SENCO or Teaching Staff please see here for further information Course Information for Professionals
