On the evening of Thursday 21st November, our wonderful Vice-President, Terry Chimes, held a very successful ‘Audience With…’ event.
Held in O’Neill’s in Leytonstone, East London a crowd of over 100 gathered to hear Terry talk about his life as a drummer for the Clash and the many other bands he played with over the years.
Introduced by comedian David Lewis, Terry entertained us with many stories and anecdotes, not only about the songs and music of bands that he played with but also of the many famous music stars he encountered along the way. He answered many of the audiences questions in a Q&A session and we saw some wonderful music videos.
Thank you for everyone who bought tickets and thank you to those of you who gave so generously when bidding in the auction of signed memorabilia. You all helped to raise over £2500 for Afasic.
Finally a big thank you to Terry for supporting Afasic by hosting this event, and also for providing signed copies of his book ‘The Strange Case Of Dr Terry and Mr Chimes’ to the audience.
