On Monday 22nd June the Young Persons’ Parliamentary Committee met at the houses of Parliament.
Afasic young ambassador Amelia put a vital question to Saqib Bhatti MP:
how will creative subjects like art and music be protected?
These are the subjects where Amelia can shine without needing lots of words — yet they’re often the ones sacrificed for interventions.
This was chaired by Jen Craft, with Helen Hayes and Jess Phillips joining the discussion, it was a strong moment for children with SLCN and the value of creativity in education.
