Why should I join the lottery?

Afasic runs a monthly lottery on Peoples Fundraising to help raise much needed funds to continue to help families with children or young adults with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. You will be helping Afasic and also having some fun each month wondering if you will be a winner!

Does Afasic have a licence to operate a lottery?

Yes, Afasic has a licence which is renewed every year by the local council, our licence number is available on request.

How do I join the lottery?

Visit this PAGE and fill in the boxes, set up a direct debit or payment so you are in the draw each month.

Can I have more than one entry?

Yes, you can have up to 20 entries they cost £5 each per month.

What will I win if I’m lucky?

We have 3 prizes that are paid as a percentage of the total value of entries each month

  • 1st prize is 25%
  • 2nd prize is 15%
  • 3rd prize is 10%
  • Afasic gets 50% of the prize pot each month to help us do the work we do.
Our lottery starts March 2026 and the total prize pot will grow as more people join over time.

How will I know if I have won a prize?

Afasic will notify each winner after the peoples fundraising site selects the winners each month.

Who picks the winners?

This is an automatic process each month via the Peoples Fundraising platform. Afasic staff or Peoples Fundraising staff do not have the ability to choose any winners! This way it remains totally impartial.

When will the draw take place?

The draw is set up for the last Sunday of each month.

How do I leave the lottery?

If you no longer wish to take part in the lottery you will need to cancel your direct debit or monthly payment. This will then remove you from the lottery. Please note Afasic cannot do this for you as you will set up a monthly payment when you first join, outside of Afasic.
