This Easter, you can help give a child their voice
Last December, four adults who were supported by Afasic as children took to the stage to host our Christmas Concert, joined by three of our inspiring Young Ambassadors. Their confidence, warmth, and talent shone brightly — and the audience responded with enthusiastic ovations.
This was made possible by our supporters, who helped us ensure that these young people received the specialist help they needed when it mattered most.
Why your support is urgently needed:
Children with speech, language and communication needs do best when they get specialist support early. But too many families are facing:
- Long delays for assessments
- Confusing and inconsistent information
- A constant battle to secure the help their child needs
This leaves children struggling at school, falling behind, and feeling isolated — while parents feel overwhelmed, worried, and alone. Afasic is here to change that, offering families the guidance, resources, and support they need to help their child thrive.
How your donation will make a difference:
We are aiming to raise £5,000 this Easter and any gift you give will help us sustain and grow our parent support service, ensuring families get clear guidance, free online resources, training, and one‑to‑one support; maintain and develop our specialist transition courses for children with SLCN moving to secondary school; and help cover essential running costs so we can continue being there for every family that turns to us.
